新中国早期援外重要的茶叶专家和顾问之一;

中国国际茶文化研究会学术委员会副主任、世界茶文化学术研究会(日本注册)副会长、国际名茶协会(美国注册)专家委员会委员;

曾任中国国际茶文化研究会常务副秘书长、中国茶叶流通协会专家委员会副主任、浙江茶叶学会副理事长、浙江茶文化研究会副会长等职;

公开发表学术论文248篇,出版著作70余部。
